Statistical errors in Ipad

Post by shebs99 » Thu May 27, 2010 5:48 am

Hi

I use the iphone app to score the games, but then export that data. I then import it into the Ipad app at home. But i noticed that that statistics don't match, especially on the AB column. I think there may be a bug in this. Also, when i import the iphone data into the iphone app on the ipad, it works fine. Its the ipad version that seems to have the problems.

There is a known bug with the cumulative stats, FTM has a fix awaiting Apple's approval.

That is correct. The iPad version is leaving a single game out of the total when calculating At Bats. We submitted a fix to Apple last week. Hopefully they will approve it any day now. All of your data is just fine and you can continue scoring as normal... the fix was just to the code that adds all the At Bats together.

The update is available as of tonight. v2.76 fixes the stats issue.

Hi -- i was consolidating statistics for our season and noticed some minor differences in the stats for some players depending on whether i used the iphone3 vs iphone4 vs ipad ... during the year, i often exported and imported among them. Also, i noticed some very slight differences from the player cards and aggregate statistics. Did the problem referenced below get fixed? Could the slight differences (a few batters had some ABs off, hits off, one counting batter INT as an AB, etc). The overall differences were very minor in the end, but they were difference depending on which device i look at them and then create reports from. I see that apparently it was fixed in a subsequent release (below), but could the minor differences be the result of moving back and forth prior?

Are there any other known issues with this moving between iphone4, 3 and ipad? Just trying to figure out why there were some minor differences. My issues were very minor so no big deal, but now curious.

thanks scott

shebs99 -

this is the first post I have seen on discrepancies in stats between the two devices on te most current version of the software. the stats should be the same on all devices as i understand it. If you could send an email to FTM support@iscorecentral.com with your customer ID and some specific examples of the variations, that would be helpful. One should be able to trust the software to be accurate across platforms and if it is not that would be a bug worth FTM time and attention i believe.

thanks in advance for your time on this.

Yes will do. A previous post on this subject mentioned that there WAS a issue with this across platforms prior to v2.76 of the software .... i so while i have confidence that when all the devices where on the updated software, it would work ... what i am trying to figure out is because part of the season was on devices different from 2.76, whether there could be some differences given the mixed uses of devices and versions (prior to v2.76 and after).

I will send in the reports per our request.

yes i am familiar with the issue prior to current version, but it should have retroactively fixed and we should not be seeing it at this time. thanks again for sending into FTM, i am sure they will trouble shoot abd post their findings when they can and fix it if it needs fixing.
