Login Issue

Post by danmcc » Mon Aug 16, 2010 1:13 pm

Recently I have had some computer issues that have necessitated the installation of new operating systems. Since I have installed the systems, Windows 7 on one and XP on the other I am having difficulty logging in using Mozilla Foxfire. I can log in with Explorer fine. Any ideas why there is an issue logging in via mozilla?

Logging in to the forum? or the Admin Website? Or something else? As far as we know, all of our systems are cross-browser compatible, so we do not think it would be on our end, but if you tell us which site you are having trouble with, we can take a closer look.

Logging into the forum and I assume it's on my end since things worked fine before the new operating systems. I was wondering if there was a setting I'm missing or something. What I see is when I put in my login ID and password it goes to the your logged in screen for a second then the forum topics screen comes up as it should but I'm not logged in.

hmm. just read the phpBBboard FAQ, faq.php no mention of firefox issues. the big help of course, make sure user name and password correct. (of course). one thing i did notice that may have potential is "Forum cookies".. perhaps reset will help?
» What does the “Delete all board cookies” do?
“Delete all board cookies” deletes the cookies created by phpBB which keep you authenticated and logged into the board. It also provides functions such as read tracking if they have been enabled by the board owner. If you are having login or logout problems, deleting board cookies may help.
