Everthing - GONE!

Post by Eddie38 » Wed Jul 28, 2010 8:08 am

I just finally got iScore and used it for the first time to score the Angels vs Red Sox game in Anaheim last night. All good. Today I went in and made sure I hand the starting lineups properly (yesterday did it as I wnt so "starting" lineup was a little off). Still all good. I thought I updated it to the server. Still all good.

Then I added players for my kid's team. The league for that team. The team for that league, adding the created players to that team. Still, I think, all good.

Program closed on it's own ... Dunno what that was all about ... And when I re-opened it EVERYTHING was gone! The teams, the leagues, the game from last night - EVERYTHING! It's like the app was just brand new downloaded. This is a drag for keeping the memory of the game last night but would be devastating had this been one of my kids' games. Help! Any way to find the data and get it back showing?

Check that you have ALL leagues turned on. The app will only show the teams/games for leagues turned on.

The leagues aren't even listed now. I checked all and default. I'll try again but no good first check. Will reboot do anything?

Is it possible that I hit the "import" by accident instead of the "export" button and thus it replaced the files with nothing and they are gone forever? I'm only wondering cuz I thought I exported and when I now tried to import nothing changed. Argh! Thoughts?

If you hit import you would have imported only what you had previously exported. Have you looked at your my.iscorecentral to see what data you have there? If nothing is there then you must have hit import.

If you can do an Export of your data, and email us your customer ID (bottom left of Options screen) to support@iscorecentral.com, we can look at your account on our server and see what is going on. If you did an import without ever having exported, it would not have overwritten anything. If you did an export when you first installed iScore and it wrote your "empty" database to the server, then did an import after that, then it would overwrite your data.

Danmcc suggestions have been spot on... check for leagues , check your my.iscorecentral site.

one that was not mentioned.. any chance you have two iscore apps on your unit, ipad version and the iphone version they are two different apps and its possible to get both on the unit at the same time and if not paying attention perhaps opened one not the other?

I had the same thing happen to me on the IPAD. I thought I was losing my mind but I had the same thing as the other post. I also feel the same way in the fact that if this happens during a game it will be bad. I also have league in the league manager that I can do not delete. I did trial run with a game then tried to delete it all and I can not figure out why.

If you can export your database (Options->Export), and email us your customer ID (bottom left of options menu) to support@iscorecentral.com, we can take a look at your database specifically.

Mongoose

FTM is pretty responsive in replying to emails ... Send them an email with your customer Id and the should get back to your pretty quickly.

that said, while you wait, if you can be more descriptive of your specific situation . we can try and help you.

This post was about importing before you had done an export. Is that what you did?

Did you try and set the "ALL Leagues" to on to see if data was hidden because of league assignment.

Te league you are trying to delete, what was it called, was it one you created or one of the default leagues unit comes with.?
