Stats not Updating after Edit

I missed a substitution in the game and later edited in Pitch by Pitch. Saved, went into game scoring screen to do a recalc and stats look corrected. But when backing out of game and reopening, the stats reverted back. Cumulative stats are also incorrect. The AB is getting credited to the player that was subbed out. Pitch by pitch record reads accurately. Suggestions?

have not heard of changes reverting back once verified made. (assuming you hit save and have not done an import.. )

so only suggestion i have is to export data and send email to support w/ customr id and describe in detail the game and exact steps you did. so they can replicate. (also make sure you mention device type ipad/iphone)

once you make a sub (save) and verified the stats have changed .. which it sounds like you did, to have it revert back is not normal..

sorry no great idea on this today...

If your game is showing one thing in pitch by pitch, and another in the stats, we would like to take a look. If you could please export your database (Options->Export), and send us an email with your Customer ID, which game, and which play/player, we will take a look. The stats are accurate only if viewing after editing pitch by pitch before backing out of the game info screen. If I go back to Main screen and tap the game and look at stats, the AB is still credited to the wrong player. Email with game info, etc sent to Support to look into further.

After backing out of Pitch by Pitch, hit the Play button rather than going to the main screen. This should get you the "game over" screen but will force the stats to update. See if that makes it "stick."

Thanks, jcbeckman. I have already tried that. When I do that and immediately look at the stats, they are fine. But back out of the game and re-enter, they are back to being incorrect. Kinda starnge but Support is looking into it. I have tried multiple times to get it to stick to no avail.

i am vaguely recalling a similar issue from a long time ago. (but can not find it at the moment in search.. )

what unit are you using (iphone/itouch) and is it the current iscore software v 2.7?

by chance do you have any odd characters ( apostrope or quote mark ) in the game or team names???.. (do you have any odd characters in team name... alphanumeric is ok, as are / - i know.. but something in my distant memory says " ' are bad...)



Update. found it .. it was an iscorecast issue not a save issue..
it turned out the customer had an apostrophe in a team name, and this was causing the issue in iScorecast. We have fixed this for the next release of iScore.

Support suggested going back to do the substitution the batter before and this solved the problem. Stats updated and held.
