We will be adding it soon, but surprised to hear changing would be too slow between innings. It is actually pretty quick. You just click on one defensive player, and look around the field for anyone that is wrong, tap that position, and tap the player that is in that position. You do not need to do it one player at a time... you can do the entire team quite fast from the sub screen.

The only time we find it to be slow is when you don't know who the players are so you don't recognize a player out in right field for example... but if you are pre-entering your rosters, we would assume it is for your own team only, so you would recognize the players in the field pretty quickly.

After a little practice, it is actually very quick.

(We do still see and understand the desire for pre-planning the fielding by position, and it is definitely getting near the top of the priority list.)

Let me go on record agreeing with FTMSupport. It's very easy to substitute an entire team between innings. In my son's competitive league, positions change pretty much every inning. It takes me about 15-20 seconds to do all the substitutions, and still gives me time to chat with other parents around me between innings :-). Note that I only worry about the defensive positions for our team. For the other team I only track the pitcher, the other positions I just leave as question marks.

I think I find it too slow simply because I am the manager of the team *and* the scorekeeper, so I have to tell them all where to play in the field (which is on a separate sheet, for now ...) and then possible help the catcher get her stuff on (or warm up the pitcher), and then I am out of time for substitutions ... :(

makes sense... exactly the type of user and scenerio in youth leagues that will most benefit from the 'pre planning' enhancement ....

Yes, definitely need future innings planning. Almost ALL leagues change players, please move it up up up.

Meanwhile, is there a way to change the order th players are listed by team ? when I make a substitution, my players are in no certain order when they appear ? By number or name or last name ? They seem random ?

Great APP, Excellant Customer Service, quick replies, not much else to say !

The players should be in the order they are listed in the Team Roster.

I can see that the last post on this thread was last June, but I would look to add my request for this feature. I switch players in and out on our travel team every inning and sometimes I forget to make the substitution on my iPad. If we could pre populate the positions for our six inning games then the device could ask us to confirm the changes before the inning starts in case there are any changes (kids get hurt, etc.). This would be an awesome feature. My two cents, for what it's worth!

This feature will be in the next iOS release. We will also add it to the Android version soon. Thank you all for the suggestions.
