Welcome to the board.

I am not quite sure what you are asking but I assume that you need to start a game in game manager? First you need teams so you can either start teams in team manager or in game manager press the + button then press new team or a team you have already created. If this doesn't answer your question then repost and we will help you out.

If you are just trying to do some simulated games before you go to a live game I started a Test 1 and a test 2 team.

At the top of the Frequently asked questions board there is a link to a written tutorial and some videos that are helpful.

I think patiocam is referring to the "score a game" button disappearing (at least on the recent iPad version). Patiocam, the better (and soon to be only) way to start a game is from Game Manager. As danmcc says, there is a + sign in the upper right; press that, and it will ask you to fill in the visitor and home teams from a list of pre-populated teams (if you've added teams through Team Manager before), or simply hit New Team and go from there. If you don't have the roster of your opponent, hit quick roster and you can fill those in when you get a line-up from the other team, or as you go based on what you see. Don't forget to click on options, to set (among other things) the number of innings the game you are scoring will be played. If you forget this, you can fix it later. You will also need to check to make sure you have your line-up in the proper order.

After you hit done and return to the Game Summary screen. Hit Play from there and you will go to the scoring screen. When the Umpire says Play Ball, hit Play again, and you are off to the races.
