By the way, I think iScore needs to get with TiVo and figure out a way to pause Pinto games because they go WICKED fast. No waiting for paint to dry with these boys!!!
Adding players to line-up?
Adding players to line-up?
Tonight was my first attempt at using iScore to score a game live. All was going great until...for whatever reason, the visiting team had only the first 9 nine of the roster in the line-up, not the all 12. The Home team (us), though, had all 12. I used Quick Roster for the Visitors. It all went FUBAR when I realized that iScore went back to the top of their line-up when the 10th batter was up. So reverted to paper. Now trying to update and can't seem to figure out what to do.

Re: Adding players to line-up?
You need to be sure to set Batting = YES for any players that will be batting. You can always add players to the end of the lineup, but once you have entered a pitch for the first batter in the lineup again, you would have to undo the pitch and add a new player to the lineup at that time before entering the next pitch so it applies to the newly added last batter instead of the first batter.
To add batters to the lineup while scoring, you would go to Misc->Show Starting Lineup and add any players from there.

ah, yes, so easy. In the (literal) heat of the game I just couldn't figure it out.

Re: Adding players to line-up?
PintoMom,
Speaking from experience, the opposite problem is more common at older ages (where lineups are most often fixed at 9, or 10 with a EH). If you do quick roster and (as I do) set the team size at 13 or 14 just to be sure you have enough slots for that unusual team that has a few more than 12, and you forget to mark the last 2-4 batters to batting=no, you can get FUBAR pretty quick too. The good news is, if you notice it before you get once through the line-up, you can fix it through Misc>Show Starting Line-up (not a bad thing to check in a slow moment anyway - it will show such things). If you use the iPad, you can see the who batting line-up above the scoring screen, which *should* clue you in (but I have to admit, hasn't always for me - painfully so).
Make this mistake once, and you are much less likely to make it again, so you are probably good to go now.
