iScoreCast

Post by scorebug » Thu May 27, 2010 11:04 am

1: When I have people go to view the live stats, do I have to give them my customer ID to view the feed?

2: Is there a place where you can insert the current batter's AVE-HR-RBI and the pitcher's current stats line?

3: When I score a game, is there a chance I can have options for called and swinging strikes, and this could be added to the live stats feature.

4: Why can't I enter the names of the umpires?

Thanks.

Welcome to the board.

1 If they go directly to iscorecast, yes they need your ID. If you have a website then when they click on the iscorecast link it takes them directly to the game without the sign in.

2 If you mean stats prior to when you started using iScore, no that functionality has not been implemented but it is on FTM's list of potential enhancements

3 Called strikes are just a touch of the strike, for a swinging strike you can swipe the strike button to register swinging and it will show up on iscorecast that way.

4 Umpire entry is on the short list of enhancements for FTM

At the top of the Frequently Asked Questions forum there is a link to tutorials that are very worthwhile, they helped me a great deal.

The AVE-HR-RBI would be the current stats entering that game, then updated each time they come up.

The IP-H-R-ER-BB-SO would update with each plate apperance. Also, including B-S-TP (Balls-Strikes-Total Pitches) in the live stats would be real helpful to the person watching.

Scorebug,
Ok I understand now, I thought you were referring to stats on the device not iScorecast.

Adding stats to the iScorecast experience is a great idea for FTM to consider.

In the PITCH-BY-PITCH description, could you please add CALLED STRIKE and SWINGING STRIKE, that would be a nice addition.

I just double checked on my site, the pitch by pitch does read swinging strike or just strike for called strike.

I learned how to enter a swinging strike (left to right swipe) and then the called strikes read just strike. How do I change this?

Go to the game, pitch by pitch, go to inning, find the strike, press edit and it gives you the option of looking or swinging.

How do I get two rosters that I entered on the ADMIN site to my iPhone?

I assume that you exported your iScore device database to the admin site before you updated the rosters? You can use import or export from the options menu on your device to move your data but remember that the import or export over writes from source to target.

In your case above you want to import the data from your admin site to your device, but only if you exported to the admin site prior to updating roster. Sorry I am being emphatic but we have had some users overwrite their data and lose games inadvertently.
