I'm new to iScore so it may be that I'm missing something. If so, please let me know. I also searched the board ad did not find this specific topic already.
The team I follow has red as their main team color. On the main play tracking screen where the player numbers are displayed in their position on the field, the app automatically uses bluish-grey for the fielding team and red for the batting team. This has caused some confused entries on my part on more than one occassion as I automatically reach for the red team, which may or may not be the batting team at the moment.
Enhancement - I'd like to see the player numbers displayed on the play tracking screen using the team color that was input when building the team. Then the boxes the numbers are displyed in could be white and grey to signify the difference between batting team and fielding team - just in case both teams are red, etc.)
On that topic, in the current app, i don't see where the entered team color actually gets used or displayed anywhere. Or am I missing something?
Thanks for a great app!
Numbers matching team colors on main play tracking screen
Re: Numbers matching team colors on main play tracking screen
Team colors are not used yet with the iPhone/iTouch app, it's use is anticipated in a future update. I think the team colors are utilized on the iPad app.
Regarding Red for batting and blue for fielding, the colors are used for differentiation, it is unfortunate that your team colors are red and causing confusion. Perhaps FTM could have color options toggle in a future update.
Welcome to the board.

Re: Numbers matching team colors on main play tracking screen
I didn't feel it was big enough to start a new thread, but on the topic of coloring, I thought perhaps it might be nice if in the 'Game Manager' the games listed had the winning team in yellow. Right now all the text and numbers are white and it all looks good, but it might give a good quick reference to give a nice yellow highlight to the winning team.
It's not a big deal. I'm often a fan of 'less is more,' but the thought popped up so I figured I'd say something.

I think the quick reference of colors, names or logos would help the main screen, but I'm also a fan of clean and uncluttered. I messed around real quick with a few things in the Paint Shop. I tried planting logos in various places, but I'm not sure I could find a way to insert them without making the screen too busy. I'm not the most creative person in the world. 8)
A couple things I played with, though, was batter's jersey color and a ball next to the HOME/AWAY labels at the top of the screen to represent who is batting (little baseball represents batting team). If anything a "quick reference" indicator or two might give a better sense of security to a scorekeeper to know he/she is on the right track when the innings change.

Re: Numbers matching team colors on main play tracking screen
Thank you for the suggestions. Keep in mind there is already the arrow indicating top or bottom of the inning. We will also be introducing the "1/2 inning recaps" in the next release, so you would never be surprised by inning changes if you set the preference to pop these up automatically between innings.

That's cool. I'm new to this program and am just all excited. A mid-inning recap would be cool.
As I've been playing around half inning changes were extremely brief and quick. I guess when I make it to the ball park the team exiting the field would certainly be the obvious indicator of an inning change. I need to get out and use this for real, perhaps. I just think this app is the freaking coolest. 8)
