Future Inning Planning

Post by Manweiler » Fri May 21, 2010 10:54 pm

I was wondering if you had considered a feature that would allow me as a coach in say inning 3 to plan my player positions/subs for inning 4 or 5?
As a coach I am always looking ahead during our at bat and iScore currently doesn't allow me to do that.
I was hoping to not have to carry a clipboard along with my iPad but eith this issue I will have to.

other posts have suggested a future enhancment to be able to pre enter player positions by inning... Particularly helpful in little league where players rotate every inning. That type of functionality sounds like if would be useful for you...and is on the list..

Thank you for the information
Any idea what the timeline on that new feature might be?

We do not have a timeline yet, but it is moving up higher on the priority list.

That is great, I really appreciate the work you've done with this program.
I do have one other question, I took my iPad out to the ball diamond yesterday and even with the lighter background the system was mostly unusable. To your knowledge do you know whether anyone has solved the visibility problem.

Surprised to hear you say that about the lighter background. We have scored games in the sunlight, and the light background makes a big difference. Be sure to turn the brightness up on your device (uses more battery, but helps counteract the sunshine), and try and look at it straight on, not at an angle to reduce glare. There are also several glare protectors available for iPad, though we have never tried one.

Please add my name to the list of those requesting this feature; let's move that puppy up! :D

Future inning planning, not only in the field, but in the batting order, would be great.

thanks,
Larry

I agree that this is critical for those of us scoring young kids. My 12U softball team switches positions 1-2 times per game. Currently I have to go in post-game and make the substitutions (because it would be too slow between innings), but if I could do it ahead of time that would be perfect!
