Better Instructions

Post by Doersch » Thu May 20, 2010 10:39 am

Guys - you've got a great product...but we need some better how to guides. For example...I want to use the twitter service but I can't find out what gets sent out automatically or do I have to send out my own tweet whenever I want...scorecast is another thing...what is it what does it do...how do I use it. The vidoes don't help because i can go directly to a topic of choice we need things in print.

Not to be too critical, but you only paid $10 for the app. Your best source of information is this forum. There are many here that can help you with what you are looking for. FTM is also very good about responding quickly.

I don't use the twitter feature - other can respond to that.

The iScorecast feature allows others to "watch" the current game you are scoring in real-time as you score it, or a complete play-by-play replay after the game is over.

Those with the iPhone (or iPod/iPad with Wi-Fi) can broadcast the game as it happens. Those of us that do not get Wi-Fi at the field, can upload the game after we get back to the hotel/home so that family and friends can enjoy Johnny's or Susie's game after the fact.
Home Runs even come with a roaring crowd as your child puts one over the fence!

Pose your questions here and you are sure to get a quick answer.

Agree documentation can be improved.. but want to be sure you have seen ...

the User guide located .....
http://iscorecentral.com/baseball/training.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

iScoreCast demo located ...
http://iscorecentral.com/baseball/screenshots.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

in lieu of better support documentation, please post specific questions in the forum and I think you will find timely custom answers and help from both FTM and Forum Users

Unfortuneatly I am a non Twitter person, so can not help on that, specifically but some one will chime in..

Ok...I just want to very much say I realize it is only a 10 dollar app and I am unbelievable grateful it exists...I have already told at least 2 dozen other coaches about it...using it for little league games is such a help. So I appreciate all of you helping me out. Any of you tell me does the twitter portion of this app send out things automatically or do i have to send all the updates??

Form what I have gathered in reading some of the other posts in the forum. The Twittercast broadcasts similar information as the iScorecast - as a tweet. I haven't seen the information so I can't give you specifics, but you could setup a sample game and turn the twitter cast on and score a couple of plays and see what comes out.
I don't have a twitter account my self - I have a hard enough time keeping up with my facebook account. That, and I'm really not that interested in the minute-to-minute/day-to-day activities of my acquaintances. :)

Only the start and end game tweets are automatic. During the game updates can be sent using the tweet button which is in the same location as the Notes if you have Twittercast enabled. On iPhone, scroll the top section of the scoring screen to the left twice to see that option.

Most features are covered in the videos or user guide so it is worth your time to view that info. You may even find features that will save you more time than the time spent watching.

We do updates frequently so the documentation will not always be as up to date as all the features but we always try and announce new functionality in this forum and in release notes.
Check out the new iScore Baseball documentation page!
