updating team site...Logging out and saving

Post by kevinpdarcy » Sun Mar 07, 2010 5:58 pm

I just opened a team web site and I'm having trouble logging out after I edit the site. I'm sure it's simple to do but I can't figure it out. I've closed the page down and reopened it only to find I was able to edit without logging in. Please Help.. Thank you

Are you using IE8 by any chance? We have noticed it seems to hold "sessions" open until you have closed ALL instances of IE.

We will add a logout button very soon so you can intentionally log out of the site.

In the meantime, making sure you close all browser windows before going back to the site should log you out. There is also a timeout on our servers (it is either 15 or 20 minutes) that will automatically log you out after that amount of time of no activity.

Thank you.

I noticed a similar issue at first were my changes did not appear to save after editing the settings (color choices mostly). However, after refreshing the page, my changes were in fact saved. I’ve now just gotten in the habit of refreshing the page after hitting save.

I am having the same problem with it not logging out and when I go back to the page it allows me to try and make edits without logging in. Sometimes it does not seem to save the changes I make. I am not using IE8 but IE6 instead. When will the "LOGOUT" button be available? It is not really prudent to close all of my explorer windows just to refresh because I am trying to copy info from other websites, my google calendar, my old team website and so on and so on.

I am also having a problem getting my google calendar to show up in the page, I copy and paste the embed code from my google calendar page and press "SET" put it just starts clicking at me and does not update the calendar.

We have now added a Logoff button.

With the google calendar, the text you put in the box should come from the Google site, and look something like this:

Code: Select all

<iframe src="http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=asdfasdfasdfadsf%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/Denver" style="border: 0" width="800" height="600" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>

Thanks FTM,

The problem that I was having with Google Calendar was that I did not have the calendar set to be public I think because as soon as I made that change everything worked fine.
