My son is 3 games into his high school season so I've got 3 games under my belt with the iScore App. I've figured out I can bypass some of the game scoring detail input in order to have more time to watch (for example just inputting in-play/out and what happened without marking where ball went, who made play, etc. and I don't record each pitch for the other team's pitcher just what our hitter does, etc.) and it works well. Really like the App.
I'm getting through games but still a little confused how to record a stolen base in the right sequence. I've been through tutorials, etc. and unless I've missed it I didn't see it. For example how and what sequence should be used to input the following:
Runner on 1st & 2nd w/2 outs. Batter has a 2-1 count on him lets say. Runner on 2nd steals 3rd but runner on 1st holds. Count gets to 3-2 and runner on 1st steals 2nd. Batter hits a single and runner on 3rd scores; runner on 2nd advances to 3rd and holds there. Next batter lines out to end inning.

Re: Scoring a Stolen Base
Assuming you already have the runners on 1st and 2nd:
Ball
Ball
Strike (you now have 2-1 count)
Touch runner on 2nd, Safe, Third, Stolen Base (asks what happened to runner on first, press Held Up)
Ball
Strike
Touch runner on 1st, Safe, Second, Stolen Base
Now you have runners on 2nd and 3rd with a 3-2 count.
In Play
Single
touch where ball was hit
It will ask what happens to runners, you would mark runner from 3rd as Safe, Home, Advanced by batter, and runner from 2nd as Safe, Third, Advanced by batter
Next batter, you would just touch Out, Line Drive, and touch who caught the ball.
Ball

Re: Scoring a Stolen Base
John,
Here is how I would score the play you describe.
Runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 outs and batter has a count of 2-1.
Runner steals third: Tap the runner on 2nd base and tap "third" then stolen base. The app will then ask you about the runner on 1st base since the app knows that there is a runner behind the runner that was on 2nd. Choose "Held up"
On the next pitch tap ball/stike depending on sequence of pitches. After the count gets to 3-2 tap the runner on 1st base and choose "second" then "Stolen Base". Now you have runners 2nd and 3rd with two outs with the batter at a full count.
Next Tap "in play" select single, touch location of where the ball was hit. The app will ask you about the runner on and most likely "home" will already be selected, and tap "advanced by batter". The you will be asked about the runner and 2nd base and you will select "third" and either "advanced by batter" or held up. Then finally you will be asked about the batter/runner and you will say held up at first assuming that is what happened (not sure since you did not provide those details).
Hope this helps,
Brent

Re: Scoring a Stolen Base
Thanks to both replies. I had missed the feature of being able to tap the runners on base to input stolen base, etc. I knew how to tap fielders or batter for substitutions but missed this. I'm sure as I go along I will either accidently discover more this app can do or will have to ask again. Thanks again.
