Caught Stealing...

Post by TexasRebel » Fri Mar 26, 2010 7:27 pm

Here is the issue...

Runner caught stealing 1-3-6 during a pickoff attempt... runner took off on the pickoff without looking back.

Listed as a CS8 with no details on the book... any way around that?

Not quite clear what the issue is... CS8 means he was caught stealing while batter #8 was at bat. What do you mean by "no details on the book"?

The "touches" will not be shown on the scorecard for caught stealing - there just is not enough room, and it would not be consistent with the rest of the scorecard. Touches are shown for the batter only. The details of touches are still seen in the Pitch by Pitch listing and the iScorecast.

Alright, just curious because the touches are recorded for a pickoff. I thought it might be the same (I've always handwritten touches for a CS)
