Sac Fly DP not counted as DP

Post by ETBill » Wed May 04, 2016 7:06 pm

This was a game-ending situation, but I verified in a test game that it happens even in the 1st inning.
Bases loaded, 1 out. Batter flies out to CF. Runner on third scores, Runner from 2nd tagged out 8-2-5.
I scored it as:
Out, Sac Fly, 8-2-5
What happened to runner on 3rd? Safe, Home, Advanced by batter
What happened to runner on 2nd? Out, Third, Double Play

It's not counted as a DP in the stats, and looking more closely the CF and C were credited with assists, 3b got a putout. CF did not get a putout (only 2 were credited for the inning...this one along with one to the C for a prior K).

(Nothing like ending a game with the good ol' fashioned 8-2-5 sac fly double play!)

I can replicate the no put out and no DP credits on iOS 4.704 version . Same issue .

( I assume the runner tagged up and crosses home before the DP out at third.. Or no sac fly and no run..)

Yes, runner tagged and scored in advance of the final out (the throw from CF went straight to the plate to try to get the guy from 3rd but was late...runner on 2nd tried to take advantage of CF not throwing to the cutoff man) so good SF + run scored. But a fun way to end opening day!
