Data Sharing on original iPad - not via Bluetooth

Post by antoniades » Fri Mar 06, 2015 7:43 pm

I have most of my games on an original iPad. Now I want to grab a single game that I scored on a different device and put it on my original iPad so I can keep all my stats together.

When I go to Options -> Data sharing, it tells me I have to upgrade my iOS in order to do Bluetooth sharing. I don't want to do Bluetooth sharing, I want to do it via the web. I also have a iPad2 and with that device, I'm able to do Options-> Data Sharing -> Get from Web Database and then login another account and get the games I want.

Why can't I do the same thing with my iPad 1? I think I used to be able to do this on my iPad 1. Do you update the app and change this feature?

Thanks

Apple made some changes to their APIs that made this not work. Our next release will provide a fix for that.

You can still do an Options -> Export from your old device, and use Data Sharing from the newer device to import data from the old device.

We do not have a date - Apple approves things at their own speed.

I have an 1G iPad running iOS 5.1.1 and iScore version 4.532. I get the same "iOS Upgrade Needed" message when I try to go into Options -> Data Sharing to do a Get from Web Database the same way I can on my iPhone. (I don't understand why Get from Web Database can't work on the iPad even if Bluetooth Data Sharing can't.)

Is there any other way to get a game entered on my iPhone onto the team web site associated with my iPad?

Yes, the next update re-enables the web data sharing on older iOS versions.
