Play by Play Corrections

Post by BCBaseball » Tue Mar 02, 2010 11:44 am

I had a play where bases were loaded and the batter hit a Fielder's Choice and the the runner at 1b was forced out at 2b to end the inning.

Apparently I scored the runner from 3b without realizing it, is there a way to fix this?

Also, I missed a Pinch runner in another game, is there a way to enter this after the fact?

For the Pinch Runner, you should be able to go to the Pitch by Pitch listing, and in the pitch right after the player got on base, you can edit and do a substitution to put the pinch runner in.

For the scoring of the run, the only way to fix would have been to use Undo while scoring (or if it is something that happened late in the game, you can undo back to that point even now and make the change).

Changing from a Run Scored to a no Run Scored after the game ends is one of those things that falls into changing the outcome, and therefore can not be done. We are looking at ways to allow this type of editing in the future, but it is not possible right now.

Thank you.

Don't feel bad. I've done the same thing. I know recognize that when iScore asks "what happened to runner X, you have to slow down, work from top to bottom ensuring that the CORRECT base is illuminated. In our case iScore defaulted to the NEXT base which was home. You have to press THIRD then " held up" or the run will score.

Always check that page top to bottom

In this particular case, there is also a button "Run Not Scored" in the bottom left for the runner on 3rd advancing to home (this was added a couple version ago, so the real old timers may not even know it is there). This allows you to say the runner went Home, but did not score in the case of a bases loaded 3rd out with someone other than batter making the out.

Runner not Scored also helps with leagues that have run limits per inning. You can have some one cross the plate and not count the run.
