While overall I like this app very frustrated on how rosters and adding new players during does not function very well.
Here's the scenario my stats guy has done offense during the game I'm now going back over the season putting in defensive stats. Now in a number of instances because some players didn't play offense they weren't on the roster. I have added them now but they don't show in the game.
Now I understand that this app needs rosters before game is played or tracked. So I did what you suggested on forum add player during play in game. Then I edited them in GAME ROSTER then selected export to lineup. But I see a number of issues.
#1 while I have players displaying for stats in the game screen BUT when I select team stats those players I added in game DO NOT show on the stats screen only those that were on the original lineup
#2 worse yet while I've used the merge player section those new defensive players are not showing so I can merge stats for example I have a number of players that were added in later games that I need to combine stats with as they have defensive stats that I am now putting in for earlier games.
#3 I'll add new players in game on roster and then on export to team roster the names go missing
4 I have now added players in team rosters but can't get those same players via same jersey number to combine as I need accurate stats in fact they do not show in merge players section
I'm at a loss as it seems I have to redo all games to get accurate stats which is quite frustrating.

Re: Roster issues
There are two concepts that it is important to understand... there are ROSTERS, and there are LINEUPS. The ROSTER is all the players on the team rosters when you go to Team Manager. This would be all the players on the team. The LINEUP is the players that play in a particular game.
When you create a new game, the current ROSTER is copied to the LINEUP for that game. If you add a player to the LINEUP during the game, you are only adding the player to the lineup. It does not add the player to the ROSTER. If you want the player also added to the roster, you can use the Options -> Copy Lineup to Roster selection when viewing the lineup for a game to add any new players to the underlying team roster.
If you add players to a ROSTER post game, it is not going to add them to any GAMEs. This is by design. When a new player is added to a team, that player would not be added to all existing games.
Now... when viewing Team Stats, it is going to show all players listed in the Team Roster. If you view Game Stats, you will see all players that were in the Lineup for the game.
If you create a player multiple times, you can use the Merge option to combine those players back into a single player (as it sounds like you have learned).
As long as you keep the difference between a ROSTER and a LINEUP in mind while scoring, it should help with any confusion you may run into.

Re: Roster issues
Thank you for the quick response. Yes I have figured out that part. however what im trying to say is these functions are not working.
1. Add a player in game screen.. I export player made in game screen to roster. It does NOT export the stat with the player. AND it does not show on screen so i can merge... AGAIN I HIT OPTION COPY LINEUP->Roster
2. Players STATS for that game is NOT IN LINEUP AND the name is missing as well. So I can merge with #27 Matt Teigland (they are same player.
2. Please look at screen shots below. While I have a number of players in this situation notice #27 in particular
http://awesomescreenshot.com/0ca3tcrhbf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://awesomescreenshot.com/0883tcrif8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
3. MANY TIMES I wll add name to player it seems to save and then when I go back to screen the name is missing again
http://awesomescreenshot.com/0dd3tcse88" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://awesomescreenshot.com/0b73tcsg4b" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Not only name but even something like what hand they thRWO IS NOT saving when I edit ROSTER WITHIN game screen and the new players i add during game the STATS are not saving either ONLY SHOWING ON GAME SCREEN.

Re: Roster issues
If you are not seeing the players in the player listing, then it sounds like your data is in a league that is turned off. Try going to League Manager, and make sure the ALL league is turned ON, then try viewing the data again.
If your data still does not show, please do an Options -> Export and email your customer ID to support@iscoresports.com with a specific player that is in a game but does not show in the Player Manager and we can take a look at your data to see what we find.
