little circle at home plate

Iscore sometimes shows a little circle with a number in it by home plate. What is this?

It would be the hit location, and the number is the at bat # during the game.

I'm not charting pitches, and it doesn't show all the time.

hit location not pitching.. It is probably a bunt or inadvertent hit ball you tapped next to home. The number inside is time at bat, 1st,2n, etc

Previous hit location shows up when you come to bat second time in game. You can also toggle on by typing the inning score area off the plats

I feel foolish. Don't know how I misinterpreted 'hit' for 'pitch'. :(

I'll watch more carefully for that circle to show up and try to figure it out.
Thanks guys.
