Stop displaying last year's stats

I started this year's team from last year's team and added new players and deleted non returners.
Whenever I look at team stats, the returning players show 2 years combined stats.
I know each time I can “filter” by date, but that is annoying every time.
Is there a way I can shut off last year's stats so I don't have to keep filtering?
Can I somehow show this year's team as starting at a certain date?
Or is it too late as we're many games into the season?
