Asking an alternate scorer to score game on another device

Post by SoCalBaseball » Tue Apr 01, 2014 8:41 am

I score all of our teams games on the iScore app on my personal iPad. I will be out of town for two weeks (and will need my iPad) and was going to ask another coach on our team to score the games in iScore on another device. (I guess he'll have to pay for the app). I would then want to import the 3 games he scores while I am away into my iteration so that I have no gaps in our stats. Is this the best way to do this? How would I import from his device and have the data be incremental to what I already have on the 'master' iPad?

You would have to have his device id and password, and then you can "discover" the game from his device.

You will want to use data sharing to transfer data between devices.

First, the new scorekeeper should use Data Sharing to retrieve the Teams from your device so he has the teams / rosters he will be scoring for.

The scorekeeper will then score the games.

You will then use data sharing to retrieve the scored games back to your device.

The following link describes how data sharing works:
