Pitch Sequence!

Post by leftside » Wed Feb 12, 2014 8:19 am

Would love...LOVE to see the previous pitch sequence(s) somewhere on the main screen (below where you currently put the current at bat info maybe?). I impress everyone who sees what iScore is able to do but the only thing I ever get asked for that I cannot give is the pitch sequence used in prior at bats.

if you look at the scorecard after the game the pitch sequence is listed in the balls and strikes for each batter.

Are you talking about something else?

I am tempted to use paper for pitch charts. I track batter, pitch count be color (green for location with 0 strikes, blue for location with 1 strike, red for location with 2 strikes) . The chart on the screen is useful, but I have a lot more data I can give the players at a glance.

We have talked before in this forum in different threads about the focus of iScore being the "record of the game" and not necessarily as focused on breaking down players for tendencies and scouting .. There are advanced add on analytic tools that help analyze tendencies post game. Like EdQ Hq and tru media. From memory , they tend to focus more on the batter . I do not recall if they have any color codeine of pitches with count or pitches heat map but you may want to look into what the can And can not offer
