Leagues - how to make changes stick
Leagues - how to make changes stick
Where should League edits be made so that they "stick"? Inside the Player Manager, Team Manager, or Game Manager? It seems that I will add a player/or a team to a league, and then go back and check, and find that the team is no longer associated with the league I selected. Also, on one device I have a league called "default" and on another there is one called "all", neither of which I created - which is fine, but I would like them to match up.
Thanks in advance. Everything above is in reference to my device. (ie this is not the problem some people have on the admin site, because the appropriate box isn't checked.

Re: Leagues - how to make changes stick
The "ALL" league is always available on every device in League Manager. You will not see it in the player, team, or game managers because every player, team, and game is always shown when ALL is turned on. The default league is one that is created when iScore is first installed. It is just like any other league you may create.
We have not heard of a league not "sticking" when it is assigned through the appropriate manager. For example, if you go to Game Manager, select a game, select Leagues, and select a few leagues, then that game will be a member of the selected leagues.
The following link to the iScore manual describes league usage in more detail:

And when we imported Daingerfield's data to a device here and asked for steps to reproduce, we never saw the issue, and Daingerfield said it was not happening any more.
If you can export your data, email us at support@iscoresports.com with your customer ID, and give us exact steps to reproduce, we can try with your data as well.

As I sad earlier, it has been doing it again, if you would have read my post, that y'all erased. It's funny there are a few posts reference this issue, but support never references other posts. Then they just act like each person is isolated incident. I posted a link with links to other posts and some how it's not there any more ???? I have emailed support and it was just ignored.

Your previous post had misinformation in it about our response saying we said something to you that we would absolutely never say. We sent you a PM about that.
We do have to treat each case individually when we are unable to reproduce the issue from the information give. By exporting and emailing us the details we can try and reproduce the exact situation.

Your idea of miss information is the truth. When you continue to ignore the issue it's the same thing as saying, saying sorry about your luck. To delete the entire post that connected at least three individuals having same issue, is nothing more than a continuation of trying to hide the issue instead of fixing it. I have sent you an email and you ignore. Other people have the same problem as I and all you say is send us information and we'll look at it, never mentioning that other people have same issue that goes unresolved. Ever thought that since this just started after lastest update that maybe the two are related. Issue continues after clean install of app. I even reset my iPad to all factory settings and yet same issue.

Re: Leagues - how to make changes stick
No, we would never say "sorry about your luck". The bottom line is we need to be able to reproduce an issue to fix it, and if we can not reproduce it with the data we have, we need to get as much information as we can from the user to try and reproduce it.
The post as it was written was not an attempt to help get to a resolution, it was an attempt to say that we do not care about users, and nothing is further from the truth. We take every report of problems very seriously, and do everything we can to fix any issues. The more information that is provided to us to help reproduce the issue, the better the likelihood we can fix it.
We can fix 100% of issues that we can reproduce, but if we can not reproduce the issue from the given information, we have no way to know what is wrong or when it is fixed or if it is a technical issue, or if there are specific steps that cause it. All we can do is ask for more information and hope that we get an indication of how to reproduce it.
If you have any information on how to reproduce the issue, we would love to hear it. Maybe the next person that has the issue will be able to supply additional information that we do not yet have and we will then be able to reproduce it, but we have not yet had enough information to see it happen.

@Daingerfield - Support has a extended track record of doing what they say . and delivering outstanding customer support
In this thread and others specific questions were asked of you to help troubleshoot. and not answered . One key was device type (which iPad, and what version of software) and what methods you use (specifically) to toggle leagues.
Original post responded to with specifics in less than 4 hours

Re: Leagues - how to make changes stick
The other user that reported the league manager issue to us here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8974" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (@AE32170C18) supplied us with a video and the details of the device being used. With their help, we were able to track down the issue.
When Apple switched the On/Off toggle switch to more of a "button" look in iOS7 instead of being an ON | OFF text switch, they also made it send an "onstatechange" event any time it is tapped even though you do not necessarily slide it. So if you accidentally tap it when sliding instead of just sliding, or somehow do both a tap + slide, then it gets toggled internally twice by the onstatechange event.
We have modified the code to handle this situation for the next update.
Thank you @AE32170C18 for providing enough detail to help us identify the issue.
