Arriving to game late

Post by ixamnis » Wed Feb 19, 2014 6:55 am

Does anyone have any strategies for picking up scoring after a game has already started. I am able to load rosters in ahead of time off the opposing team's website, but have been putting positions and batting order on the fly after the game starts. I know though that I'm going to arrive late to games now and then. I have access to the official play by play later, (doesn't include pitch count but my daughter doesn't pitch so it doesn't matter) so I can go back to fill in. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You are not going to be able to insert the earlier plays, but you can now use the new Adjust option to set the inning, score, and current batter. You can then score the game from that point forward. You can use post game stat editing to enter the missing stats for the part of the game you missed if you would like.

If you want the complete game scored, you are going to have to score from beginning to end however.

In the past, in this situation, I have scored the game from the point I arrive (as if it were the start of the game)...Then I ask the other team if I can snap a photo of their book for the part I missed. I then rescore the game using the combination of the two.

If I only miss a half inning, I will try to catch up real quick by using the other book. Having lineups preloaded helps for sure.

I hate being late, because that rushed/hectic feeling trying to catch up is no fun.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! What is this new "Adjust" option you speak of? How does this work and where do we find it? Did I miss an announcement?

It was announced here for iOS:

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8812" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We have also released the option for Android.

Under the Misc menu of the scoring screen, you can make adjustments.

There is also now an Adjust option in the pitch by pitch editing that you can do post game.
