Data Question - Leaving Current team

Post by rusnew2 » Wed Nov 13, 2013 6:18 am

We play on a select travel team. I have been the primary score person for our current team and all of our data is associated with my IPAD. The coach for the team has an IPAD and has already registered it under his own email so we can not register the devices under the same email (not that we would want to anyway since we are parting ways). I have the device ID for both IPAD's, what I need to know is if I can get the database copied from my device to his device so that the team does not lose any data.

I have already transfered the Team Website and that looks good. all that seems to be left is the database move. If this is possible please let me know who I need to email/contact with the device ID's to get this done.

Thank you.

Thank you, I am familiar with that procedure. I do not believe this will work for me though since our devices are not registered to the same account.

My device is registerd to my user ID "email address" and I will be bringing my device and account with me.

The team has started a new "account" under the coaches email address so my device does not show on his account and his device does not show on mine so we are unable to manage between the two.

I think what you need to do is data share between the two devices. Not sure if there is an easier way than sharing each game for the team data you want to transfer. You can transfer all your data using the directions in the earlier link, but that will override any existing data on the receiving ipad which is probably not what you want to do. See the information in this link:

Ahh, yes, sorry...So, Data Sharing would be best option. Unless FTM can help with a manual copy of the database?
