New League not showing up on team website
New League not showing up on team website
In order to "filter" some stat data, I created a new league on my iPad and then went to the games of interest at enabled that league for the games. I did an export from my iPad to the iscore site. When I bring up the team website, the new league is not available in the "pulldown". I logged in as admin and did see the new league in the pulldown for default league. I selected that, did a save and tried reloading the stat page and still no joy. What am I missing?
Re: New League not showing up on team website
Add the league to your team from the app. Then export again.

Re: New League not showing up on team website
Thanks! That did the trick!
Followup question. I'd like to be able to email the team data for list of games defined for a particular league. I thought I could do this by only enabling this particular league from the Team Manager, and then select the "team stats" and emailing them to myself. Unfortunately, the Team Stats don't appear to be controlled by the active "League".
Any suggestions on how to email (or get an excel workbook) of only the games defined by a league?
Thanks

Re: New League not showing up on team website
The team stats ARE defined by the active league. Go to League Manager, and make sure there is a check mark next to only the league you want to see stats for. Then go to Team Manager and view stats and it will show the stats only for the games in the selected league.
Be sure to go back to League Manager and check the All league after running the report.

Re: New League not showing up on team website
Background: I create a new league for each tournament we are in. That allows follows on our team website to see Tournament stats as well as annual stats and lifetime stats. This past weekend, I created a new league for the tournament, scored all the games and exported them. I see the new league (and games) from the admin site. I see the new games on the team website, but the new league doesn't show up (I like to use the pulldown in the upper right corner to choose the new league to show stats for the last weekend only).
Sometimes this process works and sometimes it doesn't. I have figured out how to consistently make it work. Any suggestions?
Thanks

I believe its the same answer I gave originally, no?. Make sure you assign the new league to your team.

Re: New League not showing up on team website
Hi Mark,
Thanks again! (blush)
I went into the new league manager, clicked on Teams and sure enough, I had no teams selected for that league. After adding my team to that league, it did show up correctly on the team site. I am still trying to figure out what I do differently tournament to tournament where sometimes the "new league" shows up on the team website and other times it doesn't (without going to the league manager and adding it manually). From your recommendation, I gather that I must be doing something to assign my team to that new league that other times doesn't get set. Aside from explicitly adding my team via the league manager, are you aware of anything else that my be happening where the league inherits my team? Maybe if I create a new league after the games are played vs before the games are played?
Regardless, I can now set it but would be curious if you have any other thoughts.

Re: New League not showing up on team website
The team web site requires both the game(s) and your team be assigned to the desired leagues .
( assigning opponent teams and players to leagues is more optional)
You must manually add The team your web site is associated with to every league you want the team web site to include in the "league selector box". ( assigning opponent teams to respective leagues makes them visible in team manager on the handheld device).
So What I do ..
Every time I create a new league I assign 'my team' to it..
For tournaments, the day before, I create the new league ( assign my team to it) and then leave it 'on' . Then any new game ( or team) created will inherit any 'on leagues' when created.
The inconsistent inclusion of league visibility on your team web site is simply the result of not having all the leagues check marked as associated with the team that drives your team site ( and then export of course, so web site knows which leagues are assigned to that team)

Re: New League not showing up on team website
It sounds like you are assigning a team to the league using League Manager. That works, but for normal usage (i.e. adding a team to a league each tournament), I use Team Manager. Once you create the league, it is pretty easy to go to Team Manager, select your main team, and add the league to that team. I'm not sure about everyone, but my list of leagues is a lot smaller and easier to navigate than my list of teams (I have a lot more teams than leagues).
Both methods work. This can just be a little time saving tip for most people.

Re: New League not showing up on team website
good point mark ..
.... Player, Team and League lists do get pretty long.. on that note.. for those reading along.. one of the tricks I do is force commonly used Teams and Leagues to top of the Managers with an extra space in front. ...
* extra space in front of " My Teams" so they float to the top of my Team Manager list.
* same with very active Leagues .. to reduce my scroll
the other tip, is always remember to Option > Export .
. 1) to ensure a backup of your data base on iScore Servers, but
. 2) to let the team web site know any configuration changes you have made with respect to player/team/game and league assignments
.. I find i make changes sometimes on my device and forget to Option > Export and then of course the team web site does not show me what i expected.
