Working with players

Post by albaseball » Wed Jul 24, 2013 12:09 pm

1, Is there an easy way to assign a long list of players to an additional league?

2. How do you get the scoring system to allow you to pick subs from the team list? or do you have to put every player who is at the game in the roster for that game?

3. Why can't we add players to the roster using the web admin?

Thanks

1. Easiest way is from League Manager. Go into the league you want and from the players tab, check off all the players you want in that league.

2. They must be on the lineup for that game (not necessarily the roster).

3. You can. From the roster tab, click the edit button (looks like a pencil).

Sorry to be brief, have to run, but post back with specific questions if you still have problems...

I must be in a parallel universe because I can't figure out what you mean in #1.

None of those options are available on either my Android or my web site.

I also can't figure out how to delete duplicate players - same guy and number but I have 2 of them.

ok, figured out the duplicate player issue. Have to remove the link to the other leagues.

still can't get rid of the extra player, and nothing to stop someone from using them instead of the right one.

You should not delete the duplicate players, you should use the merge option.

Tap the Menu button on Android in player manager, then select merge.

No, its not you. This feature has not made its way to Android yet. I was thinking it had. Its available on iOS and is extremely handy.

In the interim, your only choice is to go into each player and assign the league.

If you have access to an ios device, you could copy your entire database over to that device, then make the changes and copy the database back to your android device. I think this would work, anyway. Maybe FTM could confirm. It would require access to an ios device, purchasing the app for ios, and following the instructions in this post:

I added the players with both leagues checked and somehow merged the teams as well. All the players are listed.
