Missed a pitch

Post by Chukpen » Mon Jul 15, 2013 6:32 pm

I missed a first pitch ball. Next pitch was a hit. Is there a way for me to add that missed pitch after the fact?

You can not insert pitches into the pitch by pitch as it can cause ripple effect issues. For example, suppose there were already 3 balls on the batter and you inserted another ball which would make 4, so the batter would walk. But the next pitch you had him with a base hit. This is just one scenario related to yours, but there are a ton of similar situations that could lead to inconsistencies like this.

You can override statistics manually by viewing the stats for the game and tapping a field to override it. For this particular situation, the only statistic that is missed is one additional ball thrown by the pitcher, so you could add one to the number of balls the pitcher had thrown.
