Missed half inning

Post by PPPadre » Thu May 16, 2013 9:53 pm

This is more of a question about "can I do it in iScore" than "what is the official scoring" - but here it goes:

Is there a way to enter runs uncredited to any player when you arrive late to a game?

Here's what happened. Went to scout a game this evening. I was running later than I would have liked, but arrived at the ballpark 3 minutes before the game was scheduled to start. Unfortunately, they started the game about ten minutes early and it was already 1-0 when I pulled into the parking lot, and by the time I got to my seat, we were done with the top half of the first.

When I got the game set up and hit "play," I went to "Misc" and "End Inning" to get to the bottom half to start scoring. I had probable lineups for both teams since we had played them before, so when the top of the second came up, I skipped down to that batter in the lineup (I hit "Misc" then "Skip Batter" then "No" to the question of whether the skip should count as an out). I did not have access to any scorebooks to enter the information from the missing half inning. Mentally added the additional run for duration of the game, but when the actual score was tied in the 7th, the game ended on my iPad because it showed the home team ahead by a run. I kept going to options and adding more and more innings (the game ended up going 11 innings), but the score continued to be one run off.

Is there any way to add a run that you didn't see how it scored?

The only way to enter an uncredited run would be to create a fake player, and enter a home run for that player.
