Managing Lineup

I uploaded college rosters with the iScore Add-On MLB Rosters. When scoring a college game using these rosters, I did not have the starting lineups. So substituted in each hitter from the roster. I had not marked but a few players as "batting". As I went through the hitting order I continued to sub in each player hitter. I assumed that the program would end the hitting order with the 9th hitter and start over, thus automatically creating the complete lineup. Not so. I continued with the necessity to sub in each hitter; very annoying. So how should I solve this problem. I have the rosters but not the lineups or positions. Please advise as to a procedure. Thanks

This is still an issue with me. I often know some of the roster players that will start, but not all. I guess at the lineup, marking only 9 players as batting. As the hitters come to bat for the first time, is it best to go to the
Lineup and make the change, or should I touch the hitter and sub for him? If I sub players, will the lineup be correct after the first round of 9 batters? If I sub players, is it then necessary to go back to the lineup and unmark the players not batting so that there are only 9 batters on the lineup page?

For NCAA rosters, we allow you to Discover the Roster, but you still have to enter the starting lineup for the game. You have to set the players you want to be in the starting lineup to batting = YES from the lineup screen. You would not sub them in, you would edit the Lineup for the game to create the starting lineup.

Thanks for the response. I have watched the training videos. Maybe I should mark the entire roster as "hitting" , then after the 9th hitter, go back to the lineup and remove everyone else. Trouble is, I can't remember the names of those hitting without bouncing back and forth between the game and the lineup. I have found that having the lineups before the game is very very important. With that, scoring is easy. Without it, very arcane and difficult. Maybe it would be easier to use the "Quick Roster" feature. But that can't be done if the Rosters are entered into Team Manager and Game Manager. Any further advice?posting.php?sid=28b31078a3f1d7ed00708eb25b194326#

Do you think that a good addition to the program would be to allow the Quick Roster to be able to sub in players from the NCAA, MLB, or MiLB uploaded rosters?

You can do that already if that would make things easier for you. It should not be necessary however. If you just edit the starting lineup at the beginning of the game to set the batters and order to match the starting lineup for the game, you would just score like any other game. If you do not know the starters, you can select 9 at random, then use Misc -> Show Starting lineup and adjust as appropriate.

I watch Texas A&M Corpus Christi. The starting lineup is never announced before the game; we just wait to be surprised. Of Course I now know many of the players, so things are getting easier for the home team. The visiting College teams are discoverable in Team Manager, but again, their starting lineups are never announced. I should have made that clear in previous posts.
