correction

Post by coach1 » Fri May 03, 2013 4:17 am

Unfortunately I think I will have to go back and reenter this game but want to defer to the experts before I go through all that.

Here is the situation. Had a batter up with bases loaded he hits a shot to right field wall scoring all 3 runs. He is thrown out attempting to stretch double to a triple. I believe I should have scored a double, to give him a hit, and thrown out at third. In my haste I scored him out at third with 9-2-5 throw. Cant correct it in play by play would be trying to change an out to a hit (which he deserves) and then subsequently showing him out at third. Same net effect but understand why the app won't allow it.

Is there away to fix this without re-entering the whole game, this happened in 3rd inning of 7 inning game. I suppose I could manually correct his stats and leave the scorebook as entered but I have a lot of parents who check the scorebook on the web and im sure I will get questions about it. Besides, i prefer that the book depicts the situation accurately.

Thanks in advance, you guys always have the right answers.

You have accurately stated your two options.

If going with the former, email yourself the pitch by pitch detail. Should only take 15 mins to reenter.

I'd also use the scorecard so that you have the hit locations.
