Pinch hitters/Pinch runners

Post by mjones207@aol.com » Thu Mar 28, 2013 3:36 pm

Is there a way to designate players on the box score as having entered the game as a pinch hitter (a, b, c) or pinch runner (1,2,3) using the iPad version?

The box score shows when an offensive player is subbed in by indenting the player. If the player is showing 0 AB and does not show up in some other way on the box score (HPB, BB), then the player was likely a pinch runner as opposed to a pinch hitter.

We will add your request to our enhancement list for future prioritization.

My question is approximately the same. Runner on first is substituted with a pinch runner. I used the pinch runner tab. Then substituted with the player coming in. The pinch runner tries to steal when the next batter is up. He is thrown out CS. Batter subsequently strikes out.

At start of bottom of the inning the pinch runner is substituted by another player. But on the scorebook, the pinch runner's name appears. No indication of a pinch runner or an indentation. Just a dash in POS.

Suggestions?

The position displayed is a fielding position. Pinch Runner is not a fielding position, it is an action. When you put in the pinch runner, you can give the player a defensive position by going to the Sub screen for the at bat team, selecting the Defensive tab, and selecting a position if you would like that to appear instead of the dash. But it will just display whatever fielding position you choose instead.

Thank you. I guess I was hoping to see some indication on the scorecard that the pinch runner was a pinch runner with results at bottom of card. Just a minor quibble I admit. Great program.
