Scorebook legend clarification

Post by MookDaddy333 » Sun Apr 21, 2013 9:25 am

I was hoping someone can answer this:

On a scorecard, for a run scored I've noticed 3 different shading schemes to indicate a run scored. Dark shading for a HR, light shading for getting hit in from another, and also a fading type of shade. At first I thought that this was for getting home on a stolen base, passed ball, wild pitch, etc., but in messing around with scoring a dummy game I've proven that wrong. Does anyone know what the faded shading represents?
