Batter making contact when hitting.

Post by Noyaz » Wed Apr 17, 2013 8:17 am

How do I know how often a batter makes contact while swinging at the ball. I would like to know that. The program only allows you to mark a foul or strike but not a swinging strike other than on the third strike.

To record a swing strike, swipe up on the strike button. I would strongly suggest taking a look at the user manual (link in signature).

Not sure I am reading the original post correctly, a swinging strike does not really answer his question, which is how many times the batter actually hits the ball (hits or fouls.) That would seem to me to fall under analytics There are a few add-on applications that provide additional analytical analysis (Tru Media, EdgeHQ, etc.) Maybe one of those tracks this. I am not familiar with those programs.

We actually have a CT% stat as well which is the percentage of at bats the player had where he made contact (base hit, outs, etc by contact).
