Duplicated players in lineup after the game was ended
Duplicated players in lineup after the game was ended
After scoring and ending a game, I emailed stats (which looked fine). Then I tried to look at one of the team stats in Game Info, but the lineup was radically reduced -- only a couple of players were shown.
I then tried editing the game record to re-record the starting lineup. That showed the proper line up, but the stats were off. After a recalc, the team stats and scorecard for the game initially looked all right -- but exiting and checking them again showed each player duplicated in the team stats for the game, with duplicated stats. The scorecard now show duplicated players as well on the iPad, but the actual scoring is correct. Looking at the starting lineup in the game record, the players are now duplicated there as well. However they looked fine just a moment ago.
What can I do?

Do an Options -> Export and email use your customer ID and let us know which game it is and we will look at your data.
The first 4.0 release of iScore had an issue where if you used Discover to retrieve the same team twice (or used it to discover 2 games for the same team), it would create duplicate players. If that is what happened to you, we have a simple fix if you email us.
Make sure you are on the newest version of iScore and that will not happen.

Yes, I did use Discover twice on the same team (to try to update players). I thought I was on the latest version, though. I'll email the ID.

I seem to have stumbled upon the same issue. I am ow on 4.0.3.
Can you correct my game scored on 4/2/13? Customer ID is: 3EA678AB11
I attempted to discover a second time to create a second "team" for usage in the JV games so that the Twitter cast short name could be different from the Varsity game.... Big mistake!
On the enhancement side, I would like an easy way to change the short name used in the TwitterCast per game....
Thanks!

The device with customer ID "3EA678AB11" does not have this issue.
You can change the short name by going to Team Manager, selecting the team, and editing the short name for the team from there.

Re: Duplicated players in lineup after the game was ended
Hmmm... Any idea why the roster was duplicated?
I believe I have corrected the issue by removing the duplicated players on the game roster. I have pushed an iScore Sychronize, but have not re-exported.
Thanks!

We do not know why there would have been duplicates in your lineup (we assume you mean game lineup). If you have any steps that can reproduce the issue, we would like to know what they are so we can try it from a device here.

Re: Duplicated players in lineup after the game was ended
In my game line up, I had several players that were duplicated. I carefully chose the top player when adding them to the active roster. Stats reports were duplicated for each player that played and were duplicated on the roster. Above, when I "corrected" the issue, I carefully removed the second instance of the duplicated players from the game roster.
If I remember correctly, I had attempted to re-discover a team after I had renamed the local team. I thought I needed a team for the Varsity game and a team for the JV game so the outgoing tweets would list them separately. I wish there was an easy way to change the twitter team names from within the "Game Info" screen before hitting play to get to the "Scoring Screen". Currently, Twitter seems to be an afterthought (as it had to be), however, our fans as well as media rely on the twitter feeds for score reporting. The Media could care less about a JV game, however, those parents of the JV players are completely opposite!
The ability to update the Twitter team names at the Game Info page would resolve the issue for me and probably others...

Re: Duplicated players in lineup after the game was ended
If you can do an Options -> Export and email your customer ID to support@iscoresports.com, we can check your data. Please include in the email the specifics of the team/game/players that are duplicated.
If you enter the Short Names for your teams in Team Manager, then Twitter should be using those. This should not change from game to game, and is really Team Info, so it does not really make sense to put the team short names in the Game Info screen.

Re: Duplicated players in lineup after the game was ended
In smaller schools, there is one High School team... generally limited to 25 or so athletes... A Junior Varsity (JV) game is fielded from those same 25 or so players the Varsity game is fielded from.... There is ONE roster for both "teams". That is why the request for setting the Short Name at the Game Info page was requested as it will change from game to game. Ideally, the Short Name set on the Team page would be the default, unless changed at the Game Info screen. For teams that do not use the same team to field both games, no change would be required, however, for those of us that need that ability, it would be in a much more logical place....
Thanks for your consideration!
