Pinch hit stats

Post by Afjb » Mon Apr 08, 2013 6:09 am

Do you think you could add a couple of stat lines involving pinch hits? Items such as pinch hit at bats, hits, avg, etc? Just the basic stuff, nothing fancy.

Thanks!

We can add this to our enhancement list. One problem with it is how do you identify a pinch hitter for this purpose? Is a pinch hitter any offensive substitution? Or is it the very specific case when a player comes in for an at bat and is immediately then removed from the game?

I am pretty sure it's defined as a player who subs in for another player specifically for an at bat. Many times that player will stay in the game but they are still considered a pinch hitter for that at bat only. It's no different than a pinch runner, it's a sub for that specific purpose. if the player doesn't play beyond that, it's irrelevant.

Thanks!
