Batting line up change after injured player. Batting all 11

Post by Stampede » Sun Apr 07, 2013 1:18 pm

Batting all 11 batters. One gets injured. Had to leave field. How do you make him not batting. No out when his turn.

Misc->Skip Batter

Need to do this each time he/she comes up.

It will prompt you each time to ask if this should count as an out or not.

Batting all 11...now in 2013... is there another way instead of Misc->Skip Batter, no out each time the injured batter's turn at bat??

... meaning we will have to stay awake and alert when the injured batter's name will "come at bat."
Couldn't that be a priority to be fixed because of the serious consequences on the game scoring (mixt up in batter order) AND on the stats ??

It would be nice if it asked you after the first skip if it should automatically skip every time for remainder of game. But as of now, it does not.

can anybody formulate a proper request to the people of iScore on this issue?
I would do it but my english writing isn't good enough

I can't believe iScore do not realize the priority on this issue, the bad consequences that follow...

GREAT...
just askin : do you have an idea when this improvement will be availble?
Most seasons just begin, would that be a good time?

At what moment iScore decides when to proceed to an update?
For my info and probably for other people info... what makes it complicated and long before updating : programming, cost, programer availability...?
This program is awsome, I use it in a man softball league and in 3 minor baseball categories.

The issue with an injured player occured 2 times so far in the first week of activity in our softball league of which, one game stats were deleted because the score keeper marked "NO" (not batting) on the lineup screen instead of "skip batter"... I let you imagine what happened next with the stats...

Should there be somekind of warning like a pop up msg when it is the injured batter's turn at bat OR simply being able for the scorekeeper, to replace at the same batting spot in the lineup this injured player by a "pinch player" ?

We do not know when we will implement it. We are sorry you have had a rough year with injuries. We really have not seen this being an issue for most people. Our developers have scored over 1000 games at this point, and have had maybe one game with an injury. And when there was an injury, we used skip batter. As a scorekeeper you should always be paying attention to who is at the plate (in case of sub, etc) so skipping the batter should not be difficult.

As noted, we have your request and will prioritize it as we do with all requests.
