Upgrade questions.

Post by gohoos23 » Mon Mar 25, 2013 2:29 pm

Just curious about these upgrades you have on the website and in the app? What is the real benefit? Is this where I can get all of those extra stats? I've used another product in the past and everything seems fine to me, but just curious about how your pricing is different. I have no problem with fans paying for their own access. This line on your home page caught my eye, "iScore has everything you need to score, track and review a game, without the hidden fees that "free" apps charge to access your data."

I get that I can use this for my team and only have to pay $9.99 for the app, but don't you have in-app fees as well?

Maybe I'm just a stickler over some simple word confusion, but am interested to learn more.

App does look cool, has that retro vibe to it and all.

Welcome to the board!

I'm sure the developer will chime in as well, as this question is presumably asked to them, but I'll give you my take.

iScore charges 9.99 for the app. This is a true one time fee. For this $10, you can score as many games as you want for as many teams as you want with as many players as you want. You can live scorecast the game to the web for anyone to follow with no cost to you or the viewers. There is truly no comparison in my mind between the two products, but I would encourage you to make that decision for yourself.

There are add-ons (in-app purchases) that are available to supplement the user experience, but they are truly optional and not required for the core functionality of the app. These include things like team websites (19.99/yr), major league baseball rosters (daily updated rosters and lineups to make scoring mlb games easier), and analytics packages.

Very different pricing models for sure.

Additionally, you get unbelievable customer service from a developer who truly listens to their customer base and is extremely responsive to technical/support questions.

Try them out...I bet you dont go back to the other guys.
