technical question

Post by coach1 » Sun Mar 24, 2013 3:53 pm

I score both varsity and jv high school games. We are relatively small
So i have all players on roster for both teams. I missed the last 2 games and did
data transfer over bluetooth from a friend. I now have at least 1 player that shows the wrong number of games played in total team stats. He has played in one
varsity game which shows accurately but on jv hes has played 2 games but only shows 1. he is accurately listed in the book and I am only using one league. In player info he is shown as playing in all 3 games. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong? Sorry for typos Im on my android

This means you have two versions of the player. See this link on how to fix this situation:

He is there 3 times but there different leagues/years. Under the current year he shows the 3 games he has played in. Just want confirm before I do the merge that all his stats aren't going to be merged to this year. Sounds like option 2 may be my solution. I may have inadvertently deleted him from this year after my blue tooth data transfer, he has played in both varsity and jv in the same league this year. Just want to confirm i am doing the right thing before I completely screw his stats up.

You should always just keep one Player record. They can be on any number of teams, and the stats for each team they are on will still be reportable separately. You can also view lifetime stats on their Player Card.

You should use the steps in the previous link to Undelete any deleted version of the player, then use Merge to combine the multiple copies of the player into one.
