scoring errors in advanced scoring mode
scoring errors in advanced scoring mode
Two questions- unsure on how to score when it asks for touch player who gets assist followed by player who commits error. Second question, how do you score play when it should be a 6-3 groundout with runner on second who scores because first baseman misses good throw
Re: scoring errors in advanced scoring mode
#1 - your second scenario is a good example. Touch 6-3. Assist will be given to SS (who is not penalized for 1B's drop and still given an assist), 1B will be charged error.
#2 - in play->error->6-3->what happened to runner on second->home->error->3 (only one error will be charged, no rbi credited)->what happened to batter->(held up or safe->second->error->3)
#2 - in play->error->6-3->what happened to runner on second->home->error->3 (only one error will be charged, no rbi credited)->what happened to batter->(held up or safe->second->error->3)

Re: scoring errors in advanced scoring mode
In your sequencing the first baseman gets 2 errors charged instead of 1. The guy on second scored because 1st baseman misses good throw by ss. How do you do it so that no rbi happens and only 1 assist and only 1 error? Everytime I do it it asks how runner got home and then when I hit error button it takes me again to the error sequencing asking for assist then error.

Re: scoring errors in advanced scoring mode
In Play, Error, 6-3, Safe, Home, Error, 6-3.
The key here is that you have to enter the 6-3 for the runner also. The "touches" have to be the same in both cases for iScore to see that it was the same error. If you select 6-3 both times, it will give 1 Assist to the shortstop, and 1 Fielding Error to first baseman.

Ah, didnt realize the need to enter as 6-3 each time (so, potentially 3 times, including if the runner advanced to second)...good to know.

Re: scoring errors in advanced scoring mode
The only way iScore knows that the error is the same is if the same "touches" are involved each time. Otherwise it thinks they are different errors.

Aha, it does work!
Re: scoring errors in advanced scoring mode
Using the Android app, runners on second and third, batter hits ground ball to SS. Trying a couple of error-scoring scenarios - SS boots it, 1B boots it, or SS throw is errant. Using the same keystrokes to advance runners and batter to any of the above errors shows multiple errors in the line score (and I'm assuming eventually in game stats). Example:
In Play, Error, 6 (Fielding), Done, Home, Error, 6 (Fielding), Done, Third, Error, 6 (Fielding), Done, Held up
2 Errors immediately show in the line score - what's up with that?

Re: scoring errors in advanced scoring mode
To test this, we just started a new game and did:
Walk, Double (gets runners on 2nd + 3rd)
In Play, Error, SS, Done
Safe, Home, Error, SS, Done
Safe, Third, Error, SS, Done
Held Up
View fielding stats and there is only one error on the SS.
We do see that the line score is showing 2 errors, and we will check into that, but the underlying player stats are correct.
Thank you for pointing out the issue with line score. We will get it fixed ASAP.

We have submitted an update to Google Play that fixes this and several other minor issues found since the last update. Watch for v4.05 to be available later today.
