Practice Mode?

Post by OU4 » Wed Mar 06, 2013 1:28 pm

What do you think about adding a practice mode? This way you don't have to create a fake game and worry about having to delete it from ipad and from iscorecast.

I find myself having to create fake games sometimes in order to figure out how to score certain situations.

Thanks for all the hard work. The new update is fantastic!!

How would practice mode differ from creating a fake game called Practice?

Practice mode wouldn't save any stats or have the need to be deleted (on device or iscorecast) when you're done messing around. It's just a sandbox to play in and try out different scoring scenarios.

Why would you have to delete a practice game created with two quick rosters? Wouldn't that be the same thing?

I guess that accomplishes the same thing. I was just thinking of a one touch practice button that would immediately launch you into a game with dummy rosters where you can mess around.

OK, we can add this to our enhancement list. Just trying to understand the purpose and how it might differ from just creating a dummy game that you keep around on your device. It sounds like you want a "quick dummy game created with dummy players" instead of having to create one through the normal Add Game approach. Maybe we will just add a "Dummy Game" to the Discover screens so you can Discover a dummy game if you would like.

I think that would work...I haven't used the discover games feature yet...but maybe that's how it could be accomplished......discover a "practice game" or " demo game".

So after picking a "practice game" using the discover feature does that game stay on your device? Or would you go back to discover each time you use it.

It can stay on your device, or you can delete it and discover it again when you want to play with it again.
