TEam Roster players with different #'s

Post by jeffrsunh » Sun Feb 24, 2013 10:40 am

I am seeking advice on how to handle a team roster with players who have multiple #'s for home/visitor jerseys. Not sure it will be an issue but, I want to be ready before I make it one. Seems like it might try to create a different player, which will mess up stats, etc.....Any pre-game advice on how to set up and keep up with this is appreciated.

You can change the number game by game as needed. It will have ZERO effect on how it treats the player.

The visible name and number are meaningless to how it tracks the player which uses an internal identifier to track each player, team etc.

okay, this will make things easier. Where is the best place to deal with this at? During the starting lineup entry at the game manager? Seems like it would be pointless to go into the team manager and edit roster.

I would set one set of numbers in the team roster. Then, yes, I would change numbers as needed in the lineup page before the game. You dont even need to go into each player, you edit them all directly on lineup page by tapping their numbers.

Actually, once you score one game each way, you could use copy lineup->roster to update roster (if needed) before creating any new game.

Let me clarify this:
Say you have two games scored, one away and one home.
Before your next home game, if roster is not already set this way, go into that old home game, pitch-by-pitch, edit first event (game starts), options, copy lineup->roster.
This will set your team roster to match this lineup.
Exit out of this game.
Now create new game.

Repeat this process before road games by going into a past road game and copying that lineup to your team roster.

Let me know if this doesnt make sense.
