manual statistics change

Post by jeffrsunh » Sun Feb 24, 2013 9:11 am

Took advantage of manually changing statistics within a game...somehow, it gave 3 RBI's to a batter when he reached on FC and subsequent errors allowed runners to score. I just went into stats to remove the RBI's but then when i emailed the game stats...they are still there. Also, learned the hard way that if you update stats manually then hit recalc, you go back to stats from the game as scored (guess that makes sense!)

Any idea, bug?

The RBIs were likely assigned based on how the play was scored. If you use runner "Advanced by Batter" it will credit an RBI.

When hitting Recalc, it will prompt you with a question like "Recalculate all stats?" Pressing No, will not affect your edits, pressing Yes will revert everything back to original.
(By the way, in the new iOS updated version, this wording is made more clear).

Not sure why the emailed stats wouldnt be updated.

Thanks. Yes, i have played with it now and see where it asks YES-NO-Cancel or stats recalc. So, this means it will update all new stats as future games are played and leave my historical games stats unchanged if I select NO...that seems to be what is implied. Just want to be sure.

On the Error, it seems unclear to me how to score that when multiple errors are made on same play and multiple runners score on a single error. Guess i need practice on how to enter all that. But your point was correct and I was able to remove the advanced by batter and it removed the RBI

Yes, that is correct about Recalc.

For errors, when an error is entered against the same player on a single series of inputs, it only counts as a single error for that player defensively. This allows you to advance multiple runners on a single error.
