IScore Responding slowing
IScore Responding slowing
I have os6 and the new version of IScore on my IPad3. This weekend it taking between 10-20sec to record anything in the app.
Is there a fix?
Thanks

Re: IScore Responding slowing
It is not the iScore update. It is the update to iOS6. We have had a couple reports of this, and if people reboot their device after updating to iOS6, the slowness issue goes away. You will see this slowness on any application (including the App Store itself) after updating to iOS6 if you do not reboot.

Reboot doesn't work. I'm having the same problems. It's so annoying ! if things like errors start happening in the game ,good luck trying to get it entered in time before the next pitch.
Didn't lag at all with previous version.

I'm glad our season is over in Canada. Hopefully you will have these problems by the time I will have to use iScore next April/May. Lol

Re: IScore Responding slowing
We have had about 8 people confirm that reboot fixes the issue with iOS 6. We are hopeful Apple comes up with a fix to iOS 6 performance issues as well. If you search Apple's forums you will see this is a general complaint about iOS 6.

I am having the same issue with running slow. The reboot works but I have to reboot for every game that I create.

Re: IScore Responding slowing
What kind of device are you using and what version of the device (iPad2? iPad3? iPhone 4? iPhone 4s?) ??
We have scored many games with both an iPad3 that was updated to iOS 6 from iOS 5, and also an iPhone 5, and have not seen this issue at all. We do know that Apple's own forum has people complaining about slowness of even built in apps like the App Store on upgraded devices.

Re: IScore Responding slowing
I'm having the same problem, and the reboot fix isn't working for me either.
I'm using an almost brand new WiFi iPad3 with iOS6, and I'm using v3.53.106 of the iPad iScore app. I've ensured that no other apps are running, and I've tried this with WiFi and Bluetooth both off and on. Same thing.
Note #1: One thing I've noticed is that the slowness only occurs when actively entering action in the game. (i.e. When you leave the scoring/game screen, the app is quite snappy when moving between the "managers".)
Note #2: More importantly to you guys perhaps is that I've noticed as the game you're scoring progresses, the app gets progressively slower and slower. (i.e. It's much quicker in the first inning or two and by the 5th or 6th, the delay is much, much more noticeable. Like seconds sometimes...)

Re: IScore Responding slowing
We have scored many games with exactly that configuration with no issues. Some more things to try:
1. Try scoring in Airplane Mode (we have heard that some users of iOS6 have internet issues that can cause slowness)
2. Try running the database optimization on the Admin Website (do an Options -> Export from your device, log in at http://my.iscorecentral.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, click Maintenance in upper right, and use the Optimize option, then import back to your device)
Let us know if either of these things help.
