Is the basic idea here to export all data (games, stats, etc.) from the mobile device to a computer? If so, does this entail a download to a hard drive or an upload to the cloud and then user access via internet?

Or, do most users simply keep all data on a mobile device?

I tried to score games this weekend on a low-end Android device -- couldn't see the screen well enough to use it very successfully. Switched to iPad, which worked fine. But now we want the data all in one place.

Scoring just takes place on the scoring device. You then send emails of the reports if you want copies someplace other than the scoring device. You can use data sharing if you need to transfer data between devices. Here is a link that describes data sharing:

Exporting your data provides an online backup of all your device data. The admin website lets you perform some administrative functions (adding players, teams, etc.) but it is just as easy in my opinion to do no the device, unless you are downloading rosters from certain league websites. The data itself though is almost always viewed on the device itself or via reports emailed from your device.

If you have purchased an additional team website, exporting also updates the game and stat information on your website. Then team game and stat information is available on the internet.

Thanks for the responses. So the "central respository" of all of my data (all games and summary statistics) is either on a tablet device or on-line (or both)?

The device that has iScore installed on it is always the central repository. You can export to our servers for additional functionality, but the device itself stores all your scoring data.
