Sorry. We just reverified and address book integration on email game link is only part of the next release. We have address book integration for all other emails with the current version. There is a + to select from your address book.

Mprusak- very detailed response which I will try our on a mock game. What is the 2 letter shortcut you refer to? I am also intreagued by your message you send about two different links. A simplier one for viewers following along on mobile devices vs the larger screen version. I have only been seeing the larger one. Can you provide more details on how you create the simplier one?
keyboard shortcuts are a feature of ios (and I'm sure android too)...you can assign shortcuts to long strings of text. So, using the examples I gave, I set two different shortcuts. "MA" = my full email address. "ireds" = the email verbiage I add to my outgoing email. Do a google search for "ios keyboard shortcuts".

The email link that goes out actually has three links in it. The first two link to the full iscorecast player, while the third one points to the simplified html player. I'm just pointing that out to our users.

Here is a link to an example of one:
http://data.iscorecentral.com/iscorecas ... d9c01ae933" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Also, I think Danger's point was that you can edit the home page with anything you want. So, you could include a link to your list of games that could be accessed any time. I still like emailing the link out to serve as a notification that the game is starting

Thanks Mprusak! I did not know that IOS shortcuts worked in other applications. For some reason I just assumed they were limited to apple apps so that was a great find.

I am intrigued by your link to the simplified HTML. Does that require editing on your side or is it something "stock" our of iscore?

Regarding Danger's comment, I assume that would require me editing the home page after I get an active iscorecast link. The links are dynamic, correct? (in other words one does not know the link until after the game has started so I would have to edit the html while I am scoring the game unless I did a "fake start" like you suggest in your flow to get the link in advance.

I know FTM doesn't recommend creating a game prior to it being played but I think it would be a nice enhancement that if a game is created in advance, that an email be sent to the folks who subscribe via the team website. For example, I create the game 6 hours in advance and the team website emails subscribers one hour in advance with the link for the game.

Thanks again for all the helpful information

the html viewer is provided by iscore. again, its the third link in the email. if you send one to yourself, you can see your game in either viewer.

individual games are dynamic, but you could link to the list of all games which is static.

like this:
http://data.iscorecentral.com/iscorecas ... =xxxxxxxxx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (replace x's with customer id or website name)

Thanks! I guess I should have sent myself a feed as you suggested. I was just going off of what my "viewers" had commented to me and I guess none of them had ever used the third link. I'll send myself a link next time. Lots of very useful information in this thread and thanks to everyone for helping me through this!

On my iPad I made one up for my softball team. Named it "softball", when I add an email I put all of them on the same line and separate with a comma. I have close to 60 emails on the one line. If you put them on a separate line ie home, work, ect... You have to choose each one.

I've been looking for a better solution to this task and there are some great options here. I'm looking for a solution that is technically simple. I'm giving an extra iPad to other parents to run gamecasts and I want to make sure I get a game link when I'm not there. I have two kids playing varsity softball and baseball this year and most of their games are at the same time. I've been creating an email list in Notepad and then cutting and pasting it into the "email game link" box. It's cumbersome and another task to do right at game start.

I liked the auto forward option because I know how to set up outlook to forward the email from iscore. That means I just need to get a parent to email the link to me and it will forward.

I agree this would be a great feature to add/simplify in a future release. I'm sure a lot of people use the "email game link" this way. Great program, and it keeps getting better.

What I do is at home I leave my email program on. It has a rule that when it sees an email from iscore.com (Or whatever it is, I don't remember) it forwards the email to an email list.

So at the game I just send the link to myself and then it gets forwarded.

If I want to add or delete people I just change the rule.

I really wish there was a way to have facebook integration. It's a pain to have to copy the link and paste it.

Also, how cool would it be for the score to update in the thumbnail on Facebook.... one day...
