on the scorebook I noticed that all at bats except for a K have a "g" to start out ... and on the pitch by pitch I scored a HR and the verbage said.....and Player 1 hits a medium grounder that is a Home Run...now that doesn't make sense...
how can I change that so that Pop/Fly Outs and other hit balls which are NOT grounders are recorded as such?
on scorebook all hits start with "g"...

On the screen where you enter the hit locations, there is a selector for Ground Ball, Line Drive, Pop/Fly Ball.

i use an iTouch...and I click either "out" or "in play" to get started.FTMSupport wrote:On the screen where you enter the hit locations, there is a selector for Ground Ball, Line Drive, Pop/Fly Ball.
for example and a homerun...i click on "in play" then "homerun" and in the scorebook/scorecard there is a "g" and in the pitch by pitch it will say...hit a medium grounder that was a homerun
I have version 3.51.106

After you click In Play, Home Run, it should ask for hit location. If it is not, then you have that turned off, and it can be turned back on from the Options screen for a new game, or by pressing the Tools button in the bottom right corner on the main scoring screen. Be sure "Record Hit Locations" is set to YES.
