Alphabetical Sort Of Roster

Post by Jon.ng@verizon.net » Sun Jun 17, 2012 3:10 pm

I am new to Iscore. I enjoy scoring games in the Cape Cod Baseball League. For the most part, Iscore is amazing. However, my issue is that early in the season there are lots of roster changes. When I add the new players they go to the bottom of the list. During the game, if there is a substitution it can be difficult to find the player on the list because they are not sorted alphabetically. Unlike the pro game, there is little time between batters, so yesterday I missed a play while I was searching for the substitute player on the roster I had entered just before the game.

Is there a way to force an alpabetical sort of the roster? ;)

Either alphabetically or numerically, if player numbers are available, would be great. Anything would be better than the random order that thay are now in. Try finding a player on an MLB 40 man roster.

You can put the players in any order you want in Team Manager. Just select the team, select Roster, and drag on the "3 bar" icon up/down the list. If you want the players in numeric order, set them that way. If you want them alphabetical, set them that way. If you want the "most common players" at the top, put them near the top.

Good suggestion but still somewhat difficult as one can not see the entire roster on one screen. It would be nice if there was a column heading for player number, last name, and first name. Then if you could touch that column heading and cause a sort by either number, first name , or last name it would be very useful. My problem is last minute roster changes make it difficult to manually sort the roster in time for the game. :D
