Runs scored not matching scorecard and stats

Post by supafuzz916 » Wed May 30, 2012 7:38 pm

I have been the official scorer for the regional high school tournament this week. After the championship game tonight I printed copies of the box score to give to the media in attendance after the game. It was pointed out to me by them that the runs scored credited to the pitchers did not add up to the score on the scoreboard or the scoresheet that I printed also. The scoreboard, the scoresheet generated by Iscore and the books kept by the media in the pressbox all showed 19 runs scored by the winning team. The boxscore generated by Iscore, and the stats generated by Iscore both credited the pitchers with giving up 20 runs.

I went through the play by play but could not figure out what had happened, being in a hurry as they were all needing a box for their deadline I had to try and manually figure out who the runs were credited to.

I've used Iscore for the last 2 high school seasons for my sons team to keep stats for the coaches and have never run into this problem before and I'm anxious to find out if I made some mistake in the scoring or if this is either a known or unknown issue.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give me on this.

If you can do an Options -> Export from iScore and email us your Customer ID to support@iscoresports.com and let us know which game you are having trouble with (and if you can repeat what is in this post or include a link to it in the email), we can take a look at your data.

Look for dropped third strikes with runner making it to first or being out at first... those are not as easy to spot on the scorecard as a bit "K", but still count as a strikeout in stats.
