Editing a 'skip batter'

Post by Emaileckstein » Sun May 20, 2012 11:34 am

When reviewing game in play by play, if you select a play that is a skip you get the 'edit' option for 'substitution' 'is skipped' and 'note'. If you select the 'edit' button for the skip, you get a blank box (nothing happens and no text is in the box). That doesn't seem right? You should either not be able to 'edit' the 'is skipped' or if you can something should happen - maybe something like delete the skip - having the effect that the skip never happened, which would allow you to edit the starting lineup and have it align correctly if for instance you had an extra player in the line-up, which looking at the forums seems a thing that happens often and a question that gets asked often.

This is working as designed. You can not "remove" a skip because that would leave a gap in the event list. You can not remove the player from the lineup because then all players would be moved up in the lineup and their at bats would be on the wrong players.

We allow "Edit" next to every event and show the available things you can do. It so happens that with Skip there is nothing you can do.
